| Elegant satin-finish handles sculpted from 18/10 stainless steel distinguish Culinar knives from Wüsthof's other cutlery lines. Otherwise Culinar knives are identical to other Wüsthof knives, embodying all the virtues that earn the German manufacturer world renown. The principal parts of a Wüsthof knife--blade, bolster, and tang--are forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel, and the blade is precisely tapered from bolster to tip and from back to hand-honed edge. Blades and beautifully formed bolsters are not as thick as some knives'. As a result, despite their heft, strength, and durability, Wüsthof knives are pleasingly delicate and marvelously balanced in action. This 4-1/2-inch steak knife has a narrow, thin blade to neatly slice steaks, roasts, or chops into bite-size pieces. | I have been collecting the wusthof classic knives and really enjoy using such quality pieces, except I didn't want the black handled knives on my table. I am very pleased with the simple brushed stainless design of the culinar steak knife on my table. It complements my stainless silverware (Yamazaki's Hafnia pattern)and is a real joy to hold and cut with. I am anxious to serve my guests so they too can enjoy using such a wonderfully made knife! My only request is to someday be able to buy a serrated culinar steak knife as well for the true steakhouse feel. |
